Manual synchronization
Parallel servers can be synchronized manually using the VDogParallelServerUtil.exe application. The application VDogParallelServerUtil.exe can be run either from a command prompt or from a batch file.
When you run the VDogParallelServerUtil.exe on server A (connected to server B), this tool will cause server B to be overwritten. It will delete the server archive and remote share (if present) from server B. The data is not restorable in the event of errors or non-completion. Please make a backup of your data!
Both the batch file and the command line must be run as administrator. Otherwise, it may not be possible to start the file VDogParallelServerUtil.exe.
Executing the VDogParallelServerUtil.exe application may take some time, depending on the size of the project and metadata.
After running the VDogParallelServerUtil.exe application, a log file named sync.log will be created and the path to this file will be displayed. If errors occur, this file contains information on possible causes.
